Make an I-MR control chart
Create Individuals and Moving Range charts from ordered measurements. Review limits and signals, freeze a baseline, and export figures and a calculation report.
Enter or ↑ ↓ moves between rows. Alt + ← → moves between columns. Tab moves through fields.

Enter a grid, paste ordered measurements, or open CSV, TSV, text, JSON, JSON Lines or values-only XLSX. Choose a worksheet for XLSX. Up to 2 MB, 20,000 rows and 100,000 cells. Missing values remain gaps.

Import settings
Column mapping is available after opening the data. JSON object keys become column names. Grid column names are separate from its data rows.
- Enter or import ordered measurements and confirm the measurement column.
- Review both charts and choose a contiguous baseline range.
- Freeze a named baseline, append observations and export figures or a full calculation report.
How it works
See how one measurement changes over an ordered sequence. Start with exploratory limits, then freeze an explicit baseline before adding monitoring observations. Review gaps, exclusions and basic limit signals together.
Enter data, review the result, and download it when you are ready. No account is required. Check the input and the output before using them for consequential decisions.
Questions
Which control charts does this tool calculate?
Individuals and Moving Range charts use span-two moving ranges, d2 = 1.128 and D4 = 3.267. The basic rule flags values strictly outside an Individuals limit or above the Moving Range upper limit. Equality stays inside.
What happens to missing or excluded observations?
They remain visible and break moving-range adjacency. Exclusions need a reason. Phase changes also break pairs. The tool never bridges a gap or removes an outlier automatically.
Does a chart prove my process is stable?
No. Basic limit signals prompt investigation. Measurement resolution, time spacing, dependence and distribution affect interpretation. This release does not calculate capability indices, subgroup charts or named runs rules.
